I get a small rainbow through my dining room window at around 11 am this time of year. Every time the rainbow appears, I think of Mr. Theiler, my seventh grade science teacher, who taught us about the colors of the rainbow. Roy G. Biv. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. It is always deeply pleasing to me to see each one of those colors in exactly that order. I wish there were more Roy G. Biv’s in the world: more ways to remember the miracles of the day to day.
In the meantime, here is Henry, intersecting with the miraculous.
