I’ve talked to so many teachers recently who have asked for writing advice that they can give to their students.
As I sit here in the early morning hours working on a novel, I’ve been thinking a lot about those students, those teachers and all of us who want to write.
If there is one thing that we all need to hear it is this: be patient (the work will get better if you keep rewriting), be persistent (the work will get better if you keep rewriting), rewrite (the work will get better if you keep rewriting).
Patience. Persistence. Rewriting.
Those are the things I’m hanging my hat on.
Maybe you can hang your hat on them, too.
