Yesterday afternoon, I walked past two children. They were maybe 8 or 9 years old.

Kid #1: I love that book.
Kid#2: So do I!!! I love that book so much.

Kid #1 and Kid #2 then joined hands and (truly) jumped up and down, celebrating their mutual love of a book.
After a lot of jumping, they walked on, side-by-side, shoulders touching, still talking.

I don’t know what book they were so excited about.
All I know is that they love a book, are connected by a book.
Seeing and hearing this exchange cheered me immeasurably.
